Cotswold Hotels

How do the English do Cotswold Hotels when they seem hard put to do anything else properly. Yes, that is a veiled compliment for our rural colleagues, but quite honestly I do despair sometimes of how poorly we do entertaining in our own country. That's to say nothing about our manufacturing!

Having got back recently from an all inclusive holiday to Mexico, that I did for review purposes, I hoped to see something better in our country. If it wasn't for friends getting back from a stay in the Cotswold's, I would have felt a little desperate about where I live.

Even the airport was a source of dismay, there were old coffee cups on all the restaurant tables and stains from at least the two previous occupants. Don and Janice told me about their holiday to Stow and Broadway which luckily cheered me up. Their choice of Cotswolds Hotels had been a positive experience.

Everything was clean and the proprietors obviously cared about what they did. There were fresh flowers on the neatly laid out linen table cloths and the faint whisper of metal polish, in a pleasant way. Is it where these people live I asked? The Cotswold's is full of nice hotels and people and everything seems so perfectly done.

That's when I decided my next break would take in some English hostelry for a change, as much as I like going abroad. Perhaps I've got stuck in an all inclusive rut!
